Travelling as a couple is always a hard stress test on relationships. After almost 50 years of travelling together, Holger Hoffmann and Sylvia Furrer have developed a few survival strategies to maintain a healthy relationship while backpacking to remote areas as a couple.

When Bohawi left England to volunteer as a teacher in India, he discovered spirituality and adventure. Since then, he’s travelled almost continuously for fifteen years, so much that he felt a strong impulse to become a travel guide. He eventually founded his own tour company, The Portal, and Bali was to be the destination of their first adventure.
